Why is Good Friday called Good Friday?

Well, it is a Good Friday But many and few actual Christian friends consider it as a Bad one. WHY? it is the day Jesus was rejected by his own people, He was mocked, beaten, scorched, tortured and was killed.

One of my friend (Prashanth Singh) requested me to offer a party on Good Friday and Easter. He especially wanted me to offer Wine, Cake and Egg on this day, Later I was happy to share the reason for Good Friday to him and others who were presented in the room. Well, this message is specially created for them who were present in that room coz I couldn't share the entire stuff. Well, I m gonna put pressure them until they read this completely. Well, Prashanth buddy Good Friday is not about the egg, cake and wine, there is something more.

Let's start, There was an incident occurred on one Friday around 2000 yrs ago was actually the Creators divine plan. And I can assure you it is one of his Master Plan.

And the History was divided into Two on this Day which we call it as BC (Before Christ) & AD (Anno Domini meaning the duration of God).

In Olden days the creator had appointed a priest to enter into his sanctuary called the Most Holy Place where God Ascends and descends upon the Ark of the covenant.
And I would like to give some introduction about my God.
He is formless, Nobody has seen him and nobody can see him, He has no name and you cannot fit him in one name. People call him with multiple names according to his actions.
He is holy.
He is a spirit.
He is a fire.
He is the beginning and he is the end.

Where was I? Yes.

My God ascends and descends on the ark of the covenant which was in Most Holy Place.

The Most Holy place was covered with a veil where no ordinary man can enter or see. Only the appointed High priest as the permission to go in.
The only qualification to enter his sanctuary is Holy. The priest should have no sin in him. If he enters with sin he would be dead.

Those days people will offer/sacrifice a bird or an animal for the redemption(saving from sin).

The blood of their sacrifice has to be carried by the High Priest and to be sprinkled upon the ark of the covenant which was in the Most Holy Place in the sanctuary for peoples redemption. Before that Priest will offer an sacrifice for himself to be clean and then take the blood into the Most Holy Place.

People made this aa habit, committing a crime against Gods Commandment and offering a sacrifice for redemption.

People didn't know they were slaves and were in bondage for their Sins.
But God wanted us to be free from this slavery for Sin.

As per the Old prophesies in Bible A redeemer has to come to save people from their bondage's. And the prophecy spoke about a Redeemer, who will redeem people from their slavery and bondage.
And this happened on the perfect time.

Here Jesus came into this world to be an ultimate sacrifice, He showed the way how to live a holy and clean life, how to pray, how to wait on God and finally how to Love.
For God was full of Love.
That is why the Bible says "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son(Jesus), that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life"

Jesus was the son of God and he was perfect and there was no sin in him.

Remember in the beginning I shared about the sacrifice and the Priest carrying the blood.
Yes now the ultimate sacrifice is Jesus and he himself is the priest who carried the blood to the Most holy place.

Here Jesus has become a sacrifice and he also becomes a High priest who can enter the Holy place.
He was a living sacrifice.

What Christians believe and what I believe is that Jesus is Son of God. He died in my place so that I can have Eternal Life.
It might sound Funny but it is true. If the history divided into two as BC and AD is true, then the fact about Jesus sacrifice must also be true.

After the death of Jesus on the cross the veil/screen between the Most holy place and a common man was removed, the veil between me and God was destroyed.

The result of his death all can go into the Most Holy Place taking the name of Jesus Since he is a living sacrifice for humankind. Yes the slavery is Gone we are Free and Forgiven.

And after 3 Days Jesus was rose again from dead, We believe If we accept Jesus as a sacrifice for us we would also be raised alive after our dead as he was raised. This is what the Bible teaches us.

He came to the world to show the way, In fact, he has become the way.

What is Good in this Friday?
Well, the answer is I (William Shekar) am not qualified to go to heaven. for the wages of my sin is death, eternal dead. As per Jesus if I see a woman in a lustful way it is a sin. since I already committed adultery in my mind. That means I am a bloody big and worst sinner in this world. Because nobody knows me better than me. I know what i am.
He was beaten, mocked, whipped and died for me willingly so that I can have eternal life.
Well I have a New life and hope in Christ. I am no more slave for sin, I am Free and I am Forgiven.

It is a Good News and Good Friday for me, And it is MY FAITH. Moreover It is Gods Plan.
Hey, Jesus was dead, but he rose again the third day. So don't do this Good Friday a Bad one.
Instead, enjoy. He lives, He reigns.
